I love a good writing challenge, and the Gateway Writing Program has a fantastic winter circuit going on now! “Fight Cabin Fever, Cultivate a Writing Habit” sounds like a cozy way to spend January.

Hot coffee with cream. Baby snuggles and good-morning shrieks. Sharing a tired parental smile as we get two kids out the door by 7am! Waving at colleagues in the parking lot and that first puff of warm air as we enter the building. Turning on my classroom lights. Getting good-morning visits “just because” from students. Watching us get lost in the work. Family who can help out with the last-minute pick ups and swaps. Perhaps most of all, a quiet evening with a little time to write it all down.
